Cholesterol Drugs have troubling side effects


A few years ago I ran into a rash of people at on of our local hospitals who were admitted to the facility because of a medical condition called rhabdomyolysis.  I had known about this particular ailment but had not met anyone who had experienced this problem.

Experts: Heart disease being neglected

BARCELONA, Spain - Heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide but not nearly enough is being done to educate people about how they can lessen their vulnerability, experts said Tuesday.

"Cardiovascular diseases are simply not on the global public health agenda," Janet Voute, the World Heart Federation's CEO, said on the sidelines of the World Congress of Cardiology.
